A comparison of the "Twelfth Night" and "She's the Man"
The "Twelfth Night" is in medieval times, and "She's the Man" is in modern times.
"She's the Man" is about teenagers in high school, and Viola disguises as a man to win a soccer argument. In "Twelfth Night" Viola disguises herself to serve Duke Orsino because she is in love with him. Although some similarities in the two are, Olivia falls in love with Viola disguised as a man, and Viola falls in love with Duke Orsino.
Levels of Comedy in "Twelfth Night" and "She's the Man"
These both have Comedy of Ideas, because the main even going on in the movie is Viola pretended to be a man, and making everyone think she is a man.
"Twelfth Night" has farce comedy in it, because Maria and others make Malvolio think Olivia likes him.
"She's the Man." has low comedy because they have a weird, ugly nerdy girl they all didn't like.
