FUN RUN!!! October 13th
THE SPE FUN RUN is a WIN-WIN for everyone! This is a very important fundraiser for our PTA. The money raised will pay for all PTA events, all field trips including busses and assemblies, while also supporting our classroom teachers! Please spread the word and let's GET MOVIN'!
Please register online if you are able. We are currently in last place in money raised and number of registered parents.

Changing of the Seasons
As the weather continues to change, seemingly on a daily basis, please remind your kids about dressing for the weather. Our room can get very hot and very cold, and we have very little control of that. Bringing a sweatshirt to leave in their locker would be a good idea, or dressing in layers. Also appropriate shoes are a must. The kids are outside at lunch recess everyday, and we occasionally get a second break near the end of the day.
Realistic Fiction
In our first unit of writing we are working on Realistic Fiction stories. The students have spent a bit of time brainstorming ideas from our lives, stories we wish were written, and other stories we've read or heard. We then built a story-mountain to plan out our stories and have just started putting our characters into small scenes. They are turning out great, and I can't wait to read the finished products. Look for updates on your child's Seesaw.
