Blue Valley Summer Programs enrollment opens March 9

Bill Nye’s Wonderful World of Physics and Engineering, Creative Digital Photography and American Government are just three examples of the wide array of classes offered through Blue Valley Summer Programs for K-12 students. Enrollment for Blue Valley Summer Programs will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 9. Information about the K-12 summer school programs can be found online.

Blue Valley Summer Programs are designed to enrich the learning of students, even when school isn’t in session. It is the goal of the program, through various summer course offerings, to provide:

  • Continued growth in academic skills;
  • Age-appropriate social growth;
  • Exploration and development of new talents and interests; and
  • A caring staff.

Blue Valley Summer Programs are revised and updated each year with new classes and opportunities for students.

Community Service

Please don’t forget that we are approaching our community service deadline of March 13th for the 2014-2015 school year. The tracking forms for students to document their community service hours are available in each student’s planner, on our website, and in the front office. All forms must be completed and turned in prior to spring break; there will be no exceptions to this deadline. Community service opportunities are continually updated and located on the bulletin board next to the library. Please help your student get their form completed and returned to the front office. We will celebrate all hours of community service in the spring at an assembly in May and personally recognize those earning a gold, silver, or bronze presidential award.

SAVE THE DATE!

School's out April 13th, so grab your friends and plan on jumping from 1-3 PM at Cosmic Jump! PTO gets a percentage back. Thanks for your support!

8th Grade Farewell

When is our last day of school and 8th Grade Farewell? That is the magic question this time of year. It will be determined by our superintendent, Dr. Trigg, shortly after Spring Break. The 8th grade end-of-the-year activity day is scheduled for the last full day of school. Our PTO is actively planning the breakfast, ceremony, and the day at Power Play as a means of celebrating our 8th grade farewell. More information will be coming to 8th grade students and parents later in the semester.
