Principal's Message
Hello Fox Families,
Last Thursday, our school conducted the Great California Shakeout, where students and staff practiced emergency evacuation, search and rescue, medical procedures, and reunification. We're glad to report that the event went smoothly, and all participants were diligent about ensuring we had everything we needed in case of a real emergency.
In the event of a real emergency, students will be released at gate 5, located by the yard. To pick up your child, please bring a valid ID with your picture and make sure you're listed on the emergency contact list. If you need to update the information on your student's contact form, please send an email to farragutattendance@ccusd.org.
Switching gears, we were delighted to witness the lively festivities at the Farragut Fall Festival today and we hope to see you there!
In partnership,
Mrs. Mohr and Mrs. Dodd

Staff Spotlight
Vickie Jackson- TK Bungalow
Join us on welcoming Ms. Jackson to Farragut Elementary School. With an impressive 25 years of teaching experience, Ms. Jackson specializes in Early Childhood Education. Not only is she an exceptional TK (Transitional Kindergarten) teacher, but she also brings the wisdom and warmth of a grandmother to the classroom, with 7 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. We can certainly count on her expertise and dedication as she joins our Farragut TK team. Ms. Jackson is beyond thrilled to be a part of our community and make a positive impact on the education of our students.
Thank you to the Culver City Fire Department!
TK, K & 1st grade
The Culver City Fire Department paid a visit to Farragut last week to educate our students on how they help to keep our community safe. The students were taught the necessary steps to take in case of a fire emergency and how to stay safe during such situations. We are grateful to the Culver City Fire Department for their informative session and for equipping our students with the knowledge to act responsibly in case of an emergency. We look forward to welcoming CCFD in November to also talk with our 2nd and 3rd grade students.
Celebrating Students as Authors
Third Grade Publishing Party
At the heart of our commitment to literacy and fostering a love for the written word lies the celebration of students as authors. One of the most cherished traditions in our educational journey is the Hosting of Publishing Parties.
A publishing party is an occasion where we come together to exuberantly celebrate the diligent efforts of our students throughout their journey in a particular unit of study. It is a time when young authors glow with pride as they confidently present their final, polished written works.
❤️A Heartfelt Thank You to the Third-Grade Dream Team: Ms. Zendejas, Ms. Dowdall, Ms. Barton, and Ms. Fredal, for Illuminating Our Students' Path to Success!

We are very proud of our students and we look forward to our next awards assembly to honor those who show tremendous accountability.

Free and Reduced Lunch Meal Applications
We need your help in submitting Free and Reduced Lunch Meal Applications
In order to support future funding for our district, we are asking all Farragut families to submit the Free and Reduced Lunch Meal Application.
Why is this important:
By submitting an application it can help your school with much funding for the classrooms.
If their student(s) qualify for Free or Reduced Price Meals, the household may be eligible to receive discounts on their utilities and internet services.
Their students will receive discount pricing for tests, such as ACT and SAT exams.
Increased participation in the Meal Application form district wide helps with additional, much needed funds.
