Rockwall High School Jacket Notes

Jacket Nation
Happy Memorial Day, I hope this finds you and your family healthy and in good spirits. Although we are living in uncertain times I am grateful to be in a nation that is free. Thank you to those that served and are currently serving to maintain our freedom. We appreciate you!
Just in case it hasn't been on your radar, this is the last week of school for RHS. We are ending the year with still lots of questions about what the future will look like for RHS students and staff. I wish I could outline what the fall of 2020 will look like for Jacket Nation, but we are at the mercy of how COVID affects our community and making sure we do our very best to keep everyone safe.
We have graduation coming up very soon at Globe Life Field on June 9th. This will be the culmination of our Senior's hard work for the past 12 years. What a special group of young men and women we have graduating from RHS. We are excited that each Senior will receive 5 tickets to give to their guests. We are anxiously waiting on details from GLF to make available for all to review to prep for this special day.
I know for all of us this isn't how we thought the year would be ending, but we appreciate your flexibility and patience. We have not experienced any of the traditional school events, but my hope is that your family has drawn closer and created opportunities to enjoy and celebrate each other. We will be working diligently to outline plans for the return of school in the fall. While I don't anticipate us returning as normal, we are working diligently as a district to develop the best plan for all students given the current guidelines. Before we start communicating plans for next year, it is important for me to say that every day I have found joy in serving the students at RHS. They are resilient and a pleasure to be around and will surpass all our expectations. I am looking forward to being with them in the fall and seeing them excel despite these circumstances.
Have a safe and fun summer. #JFND
