Wolf Call Weekly

8/23/21-8/27/21

Welcome to this week!

HELLO WOLF PACK STUDENTS AND FAMILIES,

We hope this message finds you well and that your school year is off to a good start!

In an effort to continue improving communication to our families and community of West Hills High School, we are using a new format of our daily bulletin which includes weekly, informative messages and announcements. Students and families will still receive messages from the school with specific announcements, things to remember, and highlights of which to be aware of. The West Hills website will include a page that will host current and previous reports as a resource. (Info, Wolf Call Weekly) We encourage your participation as an active reader of these communications that will help bridge our communication between WHHS and Students & Families. Thank you for your continued support for all students at West Hills!

WHHS Administration,

Robin Ballarin, Principal

WEEK 2 AND THE STUDENTS ARE GETTING USED TO CAMPUS

Our 9th Geography students were challenged to build community and get to know the West Hills Campus this past Thursday and Friday. Students participated in the Marble Challenge, using split PVC pipes to transfer marbles across the finish line. The challenges requires team work, communication and problem solving. Students also participated in the PACK PROWL a Wolf Pack scavenger hunt tradition to help familiarize our 9th graders with important places around campus such as the cafeteria, finance office and counseling office.

Be All In Presentations

This past week, our Admin. Team visited English classes for our Be All In presentation to all of our students (almost) this last week. Mrs. Ballarin, Mr. Hoadley, Mr. Johson, and Mrs. Gaeir presented this content stemming from input from our Equity Committee students wanting ALL students to hear this important message about choices and consequences on campus. Presentations will continue this week as we were not able to get to all classes last week. We appreciate everyone's support to help our students know and understand our focus on teaching and learning in everything we do.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT FOR PARENTS: AUGUST 31

Please mark your calendars to be here on campus for our Back to School night Tuesday August 31 This is an opportunity for parents to meet their teachers in person briefly and learn a little bit more about the classroom their student is in each day!
