Healthy Kids Survey

HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF 80% participation!!!!

Please complete this online survey and share your opinions on our campus life, student affairs and academic success. This survey is an opportunity to communicate your perceptions about your child’s school. Please let the office, your child's teacher, or email Ms. Koontz and let them know when you take the survey.

Students will receive 10 GATOR BITES

Coronavirus Update

Our district and school sites are continuously monitoring the status of this virus, and we will send follow-up information if there is any increase in risk to our community. While the risk for our community is very low, preventative measures like limiting contact with those who are sick, washing hands frequently, and covering coughs and sneezes are always best practice.

The Contra Costa County Office of Education has maintained a coronavirus webpage for those who wish to learn more or share information with others.

Visitors on Campus

ALL visitors on campus must first go through the office to sign in for a badge/visitor pass. Whether you are helping in a classroom or at a school event and/or bringing something to a classroom for a party, you need to check into the office before going any further. This is for the safety of all at school. Thank you.

Independent Study Contracts

MDUSD has a policy where Parent/Guardians can request independent study contracts for grades K-5. There is a minimum of 5 school days missed for travel needed to qualify. Parent/guardian must specify dates from last day in school to day returning to school. These dates must be adhered to or the contract becomes invalid. Students and their families are not to receive their packet until their last planned day at school. Any student that leaves school before the agreed to date or returns after breaks the contract and will not be given credit for the days and attendance will be set as unexcused.

Requests for Independent Study should be made through our school secretary, Lisa Stauffer. She will coordinate with teacher.

MDUSD Budget

It is important for us all to recognize that this budget reconciliation process will be difficult. This is our opportunity as a community to pull together as a collective team to keep our focus on students at the center of every decision. Now more than ever before, we need to adopt an innovative mindset to identify novel solutions that keep us moving forward as an organization, remain fiscally solvent and operate as good stewards of taxpayer dollars, and the model educational excellence and innovation that all of our students so richly deserve.

The community and our staff are invited to the following meetings:

Tuesday, February 18th – 7:00 PM Ygnacio Valley High School Multi Use Room

Thursday, February 20th - 5:30 PM Riverview Middle School Multi Use Room

Thursday, February 20th – 7:00 PM Pleasant Hill Middle School Multi Use Room
