Thinking Critically in Math
Merryhill School Calvine
Welcome families! Take a glimpse into our classrooms and see what we are learning!
A new phase in our teaching... let's talk about MATH!
Thinking critically about Math is our new phase this year. Last year we dug deeper into Literacy through close reading. Now we will dig further into the subject of Math. Have you ever thought about how all of the subjects we teach are linked together? Let's take a look at the intersection of all of commonalities of ELA, Math, and Science...
Standards for Mathematical Practice
"Mathematically proficient students blend their knowledge of math content with their ability to apply that knowledge to solve, problems, communicate math ideas, justify solutions, model math concepts, and reason to make sense of mathematics."
