Shoes, Socks, Bottles, and Bug Spray
SHOES AND SOCKS: Students must wear shoes at all times. Please send indoor shoes for your child (preferably slip on). Your child will not be able to remove socks during the day. Please ensure that your child can put on their indoor and outdoor shoes independently. If they don't know how to tie their shoes, they may need to practice at home before wearing those shoes to school.
WATER BOTTLES: Please send a filled water bottle with your child each day. We have a water dispenser for refills, but our drinking fountains are not yet functional.
BUG SPRAY: Please send bug spray and a signed medication form if you would like your child to have access to bug spray during school. We will apply it if they request it.
Snacks and Lunch
Please label lunchboxes and water bottles with your child's name.
We still have snack on Fridays, just in the classroom.
*We are a nut free classroom. We have a child with nut allergy in our class and appreciate your help in preventing an allergic reaction. We have a nut free table outside. However, when we must eat in our classroom, students with nut products will eat in another classroom or can be provided an alternate snack.
Student Led Conferences
Parents will be asked to attend student-led conferences during the school year where students lead a conference with teachers and parents and present their portfolios for parents to preview. Formal discussion of your child’s progress may be requested at any time during the year.
Homework
Math homework will be sent home on Mondays and returned to school on Fridays. This will always be a review of concepts we have worked on in class. It should come easily to your child. If it is ever frustrating or you feel like you are having to teach your child, let me know!
Be a kid! Play outside. Spend time with your family.
Technology
Please send a set of headphones that your child can keep at school for the year.
