StandOUT Award
Mrs. Sigrist passed the torch this past week to Mrs Crymes. OR Santa Crymes!
She is the DEFINITION of a champion at SES. She helps EVERYONE out around the building both big and small. She has a passion for what she does and will go above and beyond to either help you out or find someone/something that will. We can simply tell her ideas we have and she will immediately look for amazing activities and resources to make our lessons so engaging and fun for our students. She keeps a smile on my face and I am proud to work with her on this team! :)

Act Like a Child - It's that Magical Time of Year
"When did we forget what it's like to be a child - to have that sense of wonder, excitement, and joy that defines our every more? Spend any amount of time in a Kindergarten classroom and you're quickly reminded of that childlike wonder - endless dreaming, curiosity, and wishful thinking. These kids forgive instantly, run up and greet people with hugs, laugh until their sides hurt, and believe in magic and imaginary friends. We believe those childlike attitudes are important for adults and need to play a part in the decisions we make. Instead of frowning, saying "no" or focusing on what can't be done, what if we spent more time believing in the impossible? Dreaming the impossible?
When we choose to act like a child, we see the world in a different light. Our focus changes. Walls begin to fall down and we begin to believe in things we once thought were impossible. We realize what's important and what's not. Imagine if every educator acted more like a child. Would more kids hold onto their childlike wonder as they grow up? Remember back to what made you smile and laugh when you were in school. What got you excited that you'd wake up super early for school? Find the child inside you again and bring that excitement and wonder back! Your kids deserve it!"
