SMCS Mission
Preparing and inspiring students to lead meaningful lives, rooted in the teachings of Christ and our Catholic tradition.
Greetings from the Principal
Dear St. Gabriel Families,
I hope your child(ren) enjoyed all our fun dress up days last week! It was beautiful to see so many Zephyr Angels at mass on Friday! We are so incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful relationship with our parish. Thank you to Sara VanFrachen for spending time completing an angel craft with each of the classes and for planning an enjoyable social gathering after mass.
We hope to see all of you at Zephyrs Connect on Friday evening!
Archangel Gabriel, the angel of revelation, I thank God for making you a powerful messenger to deliver divine messages. Please help me hear what God has to say to me, so I can follow his guidance and fulfill his purposes in my life. Amen
Have a blessed week,
Jennifer Giombetti

Classroom Spotlight!
Preschool
Meet Mrs. Siems and Ms. Decker’s preschool class! Mrs. Siems and Ms. Decker have 10 beautiful three year olds. This week they are learning about apples. After doing an apple taste test, the class made their own applesauce. The class painted using apples and have been reading books about apples. The preschoolers also love dancing to apple songs. When asked what she loves most about her class, Mrs. Siems replied, “I love their energy and their excitement!”
Respect!
Thank you to Mr. Hickey and the 3rd graders for teaching us about respect at our monthly assembly! Each monthly assembly will focus on a particular theme and will last approximately 10 minutes. Our next assembly will be Thursday, October 26th. The 5th graders will be teaching us about responsibility. Please click on the link below to watch our respect cheer!

Let's fuel our teachers for the start of the school year! There are two opportunities to help.
Stock the teacher's lounge: An Amazon wish list has been created with our teacher's favorite treats! https://a.co/etllV7E You can either order directly from Amazon and everything will be delivered directly to the school, or purchase them locally and drop them off yourself. Either way is greatly appreciated. The list will be kept up to date so check back throughout the year as well.
Lunchroom Volunteers - Volunteers are always welcome to come and help with lunchroom and recess duties. Lunch times run from 11:40-12:40 with students split between the playground and lunchroom. If you would like to volunteer and have completed all VIRTUS and background check requirements, please don't hesitate to come in and help.
Happy Birthday!
