Principal's message - week 13
Greetings North Plains Families!
Clearly I'm late and I'm so sorry! I've been asked to serve on the committee to discuss educational specifications for the new school in North Plains, (if the bond does pass of course), and was the first meeting most of Friday. Then I came back to be a part of the amazing Harvest Party at our school that evening! Thank you to the Daniels' for chairing the event and all of you that helped out.
Fund run update: we made over $9100.00!!! Wow! Thank you to all of you for participating and especially for Tiffany Stampflee for chairing this event. I'm still waiting to hear the individual winners, so more on that next week!
What a great week with our Right Brain artist, Karie Oakes! I do have some photos to share of the great clay projects that were made, but I can't access them right now so more on that later. We also need more parents to get trained on the kiln that we will be operating DAILY this week! So if you have time and the inclination, please let me know!
Conferences are fast approaching! You should have gotten, or will get on Monday, your child's conference day and time. Please let us know if something needs to be changed. Teachers tried very hard to get siblings together, but the times still may not work for you so call if you need to reschedule!
Our North Plains Choir has several performance opportunities coming up and we would love for you to come be a part! Friday, Dec. 1 we will sing at Washington Square at 7:00 PM, Saturday Dec. 2 we will sing at Hillsboro Holly Days between 3:30 and 4:30 PM, and our winter concert will be at NPES at 7:00 PM on Dec. 12. I need to recognize former NPES music teacher and choir director Marsha Kelley for reaching out to me to include us in her events. I couldn't do this without her!
I do apologize for the lateness of this letter - please let me know if you have questions or concerns, I want to hear from you!
Becky
