Classical Conversations
Broken Arrow, OK Trinity Lutheran Campus
Whoo Hoo! We are at 603 maps!!!! We are so close to our goal!
Thank you to everyone who brought items for our Valentines Party! I think the kids had fun! It is nice that we can share the Love of God with each other. The greatest love ever is the love of the Father God. The one thing I want my kids to have is to know that they are deeply loved by God. If they know this in their soul and spirits then I believe this will keep them from making a lot of bad choices. While it is fun to exchange valentines with our friends, we should always be pointing them back to the Love of God! It truly changes how you see everything.
Next week we have our Open House and Informational Meeting. Please let your children know we will have visitors again in their classes. Some might want to participate and others might just want to observe.
We will also start our six weeks of the Orchestra and Composers. For week 19 we will do fine arts together as a community right after Morning Assembly. I will be introducing what the Orchestra is and Mrs. Wilson has agreed to play her viola and tell us about her instrument. Her girls may accompany her! If any of you or your children would like to play your instrument in future weeks please let me know.
This will be our last week before our break. We will not meet on February 23rd.
On a personal note, I want to say how grateful I am for each of you! It is so reassuring to be on this journey with families that have the same vision.
For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6

Map Pizza Party and Market Day
Market Day is a time when our children get to show their entrepreneurial skills. They make something to sell to their friends. Last year children made cookies, brownies, marshmallow guns, beaded necklaces, bracelets, bookmarks, paper airplanes and duck tape wallets to name a few. We will set up tables and let the children sell their items during the lunch hour. Parents can sit with them and help them sell and make change. There is so much we can teach them through this activity: marketing, budgeting, doing your best, etc. It is a fun time and the kids have a blast making things and selling them to their friends. It is a good idea to keep items in the $1 to $3 price range. Start thinking of what you want to sell and send me a list (we want to try not to duplicate items).

Open Houses and Informational Meetings
Our next Open House is Tuesday, February 16th from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
We will have an Information Meeting from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. I highly encourage visitors to stay for the Information Meeting so they can understand the "why" behind what they observe that morning. If they just attend the Open House and do not go to an Information Meeting then they may not understand the philosophy of Classical Education and Classical Conversations. So if you invite friends and family to attend an Open House please stay with them for the Informational Meeting. They are more likely to stay if you do! Also let them know they can bring lunch and eat with us that day.
Children are welcome at the Open House! I will have enough art and science supplies ready. If you have friends that are planning to attend the Open House please let me know how many children to prepare for. I don't want to run out of Art Supplies for them.
Additional Meetings:
Info Meeting - Feb 13th Starbucks 145th and 71st 9:00 to 11:00 AM
Info Meeting - Feb 27th Panera Bread Broken Arrow 9:00 to 11:00 AM
