Welcome to 2024 from the ITRT Team! We are excited for the new year and continuing to partner with you to integrate technology in your classroom. We will be offering some asynchronous professional learning this spring, as well as a fun challenge in March, so stay tuned for more information! Canva Integration with Canvas
We have integrated Canva into Canvas to make using it with your students even easier! Get started by designing a template in Canva. Then, create an assignment in Canvas and use the Canva for Education integration. Your students will each get their own copy of the template to complete. You can find the Instructor and Student Guides in the Technology Resources folder as well as linked below.

Technology Spotlight
Kilby Shores First Grade
The first grade team at Kilby Shores has been super busy! They made books about historical figures of Virginia and also made science videos about motion. Shout-out to Mrs. Bales, Mrs. Moulton, and Ms. Terry for partnering with us on these great projects!
Southwestern Fourth Grade
Students in Mrs. Langston's fourth grade class became weather forecasters! They used Flip to record and share all their new science knowledge about weather.
Elephant's Fork Kindergarten
Lakeland High Spanish Students
Students in Ms. Nery's Spanish class created menus in Canva using all their Spanish vocabulary knowledge. Comamos!
King's Fork High French Students
Students in Ms. Seavey's French classes used Canva to create presentations of original or remixed fairy tales and then recorded themselves reading their stories. Students watched each other, discussed, and collaborated. What a great multi-media project!
Lakeland High English Students
Ms. Branch's English 10 Classes used Canva to create character scrapbooks after reading Long Way Down. The project integrated writing, music, and literary elements such as theme and conflict.
Florence Bowser Fourth Graders
Fourth grade students at Florence Bowser used Canva to design an infographic showcasing all their knowledge about the solar system.
Colonel Fred Cherry Eighth Graders
Eighth graders at CFCMS in the Tech Club get to see the inner workings of Chromebooks and learn how to repair them.
