Santa Clara Clarion
Weekly Staying Connected, September 11
The Divisional Youth Department shared "Camp Redwood Glen had a great summer! A total of 280 campers came to have fun and experienced Jesus. Campers participated in electives like archery, swimming, sports, drama, and bucket drums. They also had opportunities to learn about Jesus during chapel time, camp fire, and Bible time. We had 74 new believers and 111 rededication!"
Let's pray that the youth who participate and come to our Camper Reunion/Rally Sunday will remember how God used camp to affect their lives - helping them remain in step with the Lord.

September 21 (Wed) – SA Justice Webinar 11am PST/2pm EST
Spiritual Abuse & Human Trafficking – We know that faith can be an incredibly healing, motivating experience. Unfortunately, traffickers also recognize this power of faith and can exploit it for more power and control. In this session we will explore the ways in which traffickers have manipulated and abused religion to exploit others AND how we can intentionally work to counteract spiritual abuse and avoid re-traumatization. This webinar will be approx. 60 mins and will be recorded. Registration Link: https://sajustice.us/webinars/
September 25th – Annual Day of Prayer for Victims of Human Trafficking
The Salvation Army is deeply committed to fighting and responding to modern slavery and human trafficking. We have a theological and historical mandate. We believe prayer is foundational and an essential, powerful tool to fight for freedom and work towards a world free from exploitation. This year’s theme is Beyond the Dark, inspired by John 10:10 NIV. This is an Internationally recognized and mandated observance. Resources in English, Spanish, Portuguese & other languages can be found here.
