What is the Silk Road?
The Silk Road was a very good trading route. People from other countries would come to trade precious goods that were not available to them, such as gold, silk, spices, precious metals, and even live stock. The Silk Road was not even a road it consisted of trails, roads, bridges, and, pathways. The Silk Road was more that 5,000 miles of land. The Silk Road went from east to west.
Who does the Silk Road affect?
China
China was important to the Silk Road because the people of china produced many of the goods people traded.
Emperor Wudi
Emperor Wudi was important to the Silk road because he began to develop the idea of the Silk Road.
Travelers
Travelers were very important because they were the people how wanted to trade goods and come back with something even better than what they started with.
Why was the Silk Road important?
People could not produce everything they needed or wanted so they traded goods with others. The Silk Road brought more people into China. As a result China had a better economy. It changed the fashion in Rome because it gave the Roman's access to the silk in China.

Where were people affected by the Silk Road?
The Silk Road gave people the opportunity to trade between China and other countries such as Rome, Africa, and The Middle East. The Silk Road gave people from these countries a trail through the rough terrain in the mountains. This trail, the Silk Road, gave the people and their livestock an easier trail to follow.
