What was he known for?

Stalin is known for being one of the greatest leader of the former Soviet Union.

His biography:

He was born in December 18, 1879 in Gore Georgia. He rose to power as a General Secretary of the Communists party, becoming a Soviet dictator upon Vladimir Lenin's death. His Red Army helped defeat the Nazis in WW II. At age seven he contracted smallpox, which left his face scared and his left arm slightly dis formed. He died in March 5, 1953.
