Hansen Weekly Update
November 18, 2022
Hi Hansen Students, Parents, and Families!
As hard as it is to believe, we have just completed our final five-day week of school for November! As a friendly reminder, next week we have three days, with Wednesday being a half day with dismissal at 12:20. Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate! I hope the time next week allows for plenty of time with family and friends, good food, and opportunities to recharge and relax!
It was great to see and connect with so many families last night and this afternoon during Parent/Guardian Conferences. If you did not have a chance to attend a conference and would like to meet, please do not hesitate to reach out to us, and we would be happy to coordinate this with you.
Please enjoy some of this week's highlights below...

Show Description:
Shakespeare’s powerful, poetic tale of star-crossed lovers endures as one of the greatest love stories ever told. Two young lovers with feuding families navigate their budding relationship as uncontrollable circumstances lead to a tragic end. Love leads to loss, then grace, in this everlasting tale that has captivated audiences throughout history.
Our version is set in modern-day Verona, with extravagant costumes, contemporary music, and daring fight scenes. It's fresh, funny, fast-paced and fierce! This show is rated PG-13 and runs about 2 hours long.

FirstView App Reminder
FirstView App
In an effort to continually improve communication around our bus transportation, we are very pleased to launch the FirstView App.
Information regarding access to the FirstView App may be found below. We continue to work on changing routes and updating times, we appreciate your patience as we make improvements. The FirstView App should be used as a resource, and timing within the FirstView App can be off by a minute or two. Bus C01 is not currently available in the FirstView App as it is a CPS-owned vehicle. We are working with FirstStudent to provide FirstView App access for Bus C01. Students are encouraged to be at their designated stops 5 minutes prior to posted route times that can be found here.
- Live Tracking
The FirstView map screen shows you the location and direction of your student’s bus, for both morning and afternoon trips. FirstView also provides caregivers with confirmation when the trip is complete. - Customizable Bus Proximity Notifications
With FirstView, you set up a geofence around your location and are alerted when the bus enters the geofence. The geofence size and alert times are customizable, so parents are in control of their notifications. Students should still be at their assigned bus stop 10 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time. - Custom Alerts and Messages
Set up push or email notifications alerting you when your student's bus enters the geofence. Connect up to three additional email accounts (including your own) to receive email alerts. This is a great feature for grandparents or caregivers! - Multi-Stop View
Buses for all your students can be tracked with FirstView. Using individual colors for each student, the bus assigned to each student’s route appears on the map in the same color as the student for easy viewing. - Secure and Easy Access
FirstView requires a password-protected account for app set-up. This way, only you can view your student’s stop! These codes are provided by your district/school. - Dedicated Customer Support
We are here to help you. Whether you are having trouble getting started with FirstView, not seeing correct data or have an idea to make FirstView better, we want to hear from you!
