Dear Elementary Families,
This communication is intended to give you key information as we gear up for the school year. The district elementary principals recognize these are busy and uncertain times. We hope these items clarify some of the information you can access and will be receiving in the days before the reopening of schools.

Parent Town Hall Forums
As you are aware, the Clarence CSD held three parent meetings to more fully explain the reopening plans and to answer questions. Essentially, these meetings had the same content. You can click on the link below to watch a recording of the final meeting (approx 90 min).
School Re-entry Resources
The District website also has other Reopening Plan Information and resources available including, a School Re-entry Resources (link below) which has engaging videos and helpful information on health & safety, virtual learning and social-emotional support for students and families.
Key Points and Upcoming Information
Below are noted key points and information you will be receiving in the weeks leading up to the reopening of schools.
For K-5 students, the Hybrid Choice Model will be 5 half days per week to receive in-person instruction (AM/PM cohorts).
All parents have the option to have your child receive 100% Remote Instruction at home, with a minimum commitment of one semester (through January). If you are committing to this option, you must register for Remote Instruction no later than August 26, 2020. Here is the link to register for 100% Remote Learning
Placement Letters will be finalized and processed late next week, following the deadline for the Remote Learning option.
An Arrival & Dismissal Plan, including information for Parent Drop-off, Pick-Ups, and traffic patterns will be sent specific to Sheridan Hill. Please watch for this electronic correspondence the week of 8/31.
The Y-program has set up child care to assist our elementary hybrid program. The program may begin at the Independent Health branch (near ECC-North) and move in-district as details are worked out. The YMCA can be contacted at 839-2454. THE DISTRICT WILL PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION.
Grade Level Supply Lists are available on School websites. (Please note, for Hybrid students, the supplies will be used in grade-level classrooms, special area classes, and at home. Your classroom teacher will provide information regarding the supplies needed for the beginning of school. Remote Learning students may choose to wait to receive direction from their assigned remote teacher for required supplies. If you have any specific supply questions, please direct them to Mrs. Arroyo.
