EIGHTH GRADE ONLY
Eighth-grade ONLY-iPads are available for purchase online ($75) or return to D140. For any 8th grade family who chooses to purchase the school iPad, all District restrictions will be removed from the device within a week of purchase. Any apps installed through the District app portal will also be removed. Facetime, iMessage, and the App store will be available once the restrictions are removed. Eighth-grade students who wish to pay online for their iPads should click here. To complete the purchase, you will need to set up an account and create your own password.
If you are not purchasing your iPad, the iPads/blocks/chargers (placed in a zip lock bag) should be returned to the school vestibule any time between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on June 8th, 9th, or 10th. Please return any library books at that time as well.
Let’s celebrate our eighth-grade graduates! D140 buses traveling to approximately 15 stops in 12 buses will leave Grissom at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 8th. The buses head out to specific neighborhoods with middle school staff members who will personally deliver diplomas and awards to our graduates. We cannot give a specific arrival time, but the routes should not take more than two hours. Pictures of the graduates in their cap and gowns receiving their diplomas are welcome.
REMINDERS
*Just a reminder … We are not collecting iPads or library books from 6th/7th grade students. Students may keep their iPads and library books at home over the summer and return them when school reopens in the fall. Please click here for OPTIONAL fun summer iPad activities!

News from the PTO
School Supply Kits Ordering Information
1. For school delivery, the deadline to order is the June 15th. If school does not resume in the fall, the PTO will coordinate a delivery date with Shane’s for all kits ordered for school delivery.
2. The home delivery site will close July 15th.
3. All sales are final. No returns due to Covid-19 issues.
4. If Shane’s is unable to obtain hard to find items such as tissues, wipes etc. by September 1st, they will provide the PTO with a refund for the cost of such items. The PTO will not keep these funds to try to attempt to purchase the items. Any refunds received by the PTO will be directly passed on to individual families so that they may attempt to purchase such hard to find items themselves.

PTO Food Fundraisers Reimbursements
All staff members and students in 6th and 7th grade have received credits to their on-line hot lunch account for missed lunches due to school closure from Covid-19. These credits can be used towards ordering future meals.
All refunds for 8th graders, from whom we have received a response regarding where to mail refund checks, have been processed. If you think you did not receive an e-mail from the PTO requesting such information, please check your spam folder or send a message to our hot lunch email listed below.
Any family (other than 8th graders) who will not be returning to Grissom next year and requires a refund check, should email grissomptohotlunch@gmail.com for refund instructions.
