Troy 30-C Monthly Happenings
September 2023

Superintendent's Corner
As the leaves begin to turn and we start to feel the crispness in the air, we know that fall is here. As the season changes, we are also seeing changes here at Troy 30-C. I see excitement on students' faces while they are in their in classrooms and the hallways as they adjust to the new school year with new friends and new teachers. I see a sense of positivity and excitement in students and staff as the new school year is well underway. I look forward to seeing great things this school year as our dedicated staff is continually working hard to improve the lives of the students that we serve.
This year we are working through a District Strategic Plan. Our Focus Group was working hard on Saturday, September 16 sharing their thoughts and views of what the future here at Troy 30-C will look like. I am proud of the work that our Focus Group has done, and I look forward to learning from our staff and community members as we work through the District Strategic Plan this school year.
I am excited to share that there will be three Coffee with the Superintendent events this school year. The first one will take place on Wednesday, October 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Troy 30-C District Office. I look forward to meeting with our families and community members at this event.

Troy 30-C Resource Fair, August 4, 2023
Thank you to all who attended this amazing kickoff to the school year! :) We welcomed around 800 people to this community event which provided families back to school resources and FUN!
Attendees enjoyed performances by the Troy 30-C Choir and Cheer teams, Mariachi de Joliet Band - the all student mariachi band from Joliet 86, and got up close and personal with reptiles from Crosstown Exotics. Students and families were able to learn more about our community resources in and around Troy 30-C. Raffle prizes were awarded as families enjoyed snacks from the many food vendors.
We are already planning next year's Back to School Resource Fair. If you know of a local community resource or vendor that would like to be included, please contact Jeff Peterson at jpeterson@troy30c.org.
Join us in person or virtually on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 7pm for a guided conversation with the Troy 30-C community about district-wide safety updates!
Topics will include:
