Welcome Galtier Families to the 2021-22 School Year!
We are excited to safely begin this school year in person! This first Weekly Update has important links and information to getting started! Our school day begins at 9:30 am and ends at 4:00pm. Every Galtier student receives free Breakfast to Go and lunch during the school day.
During the first two weeks of school, teachers will be spending time getting to know students and teaching routines and rituals.
Please know that a safe return to school is our top priority, please reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We are here to partner with you in the education of your student(s). We understand that a safe return is and ask that you are reaching out to us with questions and sharing issues you are experiencing. Updating your information in iUpdate will ensure that you receive proper services, eligible transportation and important communications by U.S. mail, phone, email or text. Families will receive phone calls and text message reminders to complete iUpdate. One parent or guardian from each primary household is expected to complete iUpdate.

Safe Return Plan
SPPS is planning to start the 2021-22 school year with all grades attending school in-person five days a week. School begins on Thursday, September 9, for students in grades 1-12. Students in Pre-K and kindergarten start on Monday, September 13.
The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority. Updated COVID-19 guidelines will be in place for the 2021-22 school year. Protocols will include a mask requirement for all students and staff ages 2 and up regardless of vaccination status, daily cleaning and disinfecting of buildings, improved ventilation systems and maintenance, frequent hand-washing, assigned seating and cohorting of students, contact tracing, exclusion of sick students and staff from school, and promotion of COVID-19 vaccination and testing.
