Grayhawk Elementary
What a great first week!
Dear Grayhawk families,
We’re off and running! This first week of school has been outstanding! I have had the opportunity to meet so many respectful, intelligent, kind, and happy students over the past couple of days. It has been a real pleasure. I thank you all for your support, positivity, and patience.
MORNING DROP-OFF CLARIFICATION
There were a couple hiccups during morning drop off, so I wanted to clarify/update those procedures a bit.
1st-6th grade student drop off- Please pull through the drive-thru lane in front of the school. Students may either follow the sidewalks west, and walk directly to the playground, or they may walk around to the gate on the East side of the building where they can drop off the child to go around back.
Please do not park or get out of your vehicle in the front drive-thru lane. If you would like to park and walk your child to the gate, please park in the large lot behind the school off 76th St.
Kindergarten student drop off- Kindergarten parents can pull though the drive-thru lane in front of the school to let the children out of the vehicle. Students should follow the sidewalks west to the Kinder playground gate and enter there. Please do not park or get out of your vehicle in the front drive-thru lane. If you would like to park your vehicle and walk your child to the gate please park in the lot on the East side of the building.
NO PARENTS SHOULD ENTER THE DRIVE-THRU LANE BEHIND THE SCHOOL. THAT IS ONLY FOR BUSES DURING MORNING DROP-OFF.
MASKS
Please take a moment to encourage your children to support the decisions of other students when it comes to wearing or not wearing masks. We will work to create an environment where all students feel comfortable at school and free from harassment and bullying, and your support at home is always appreciated.
