acs summer session registration now open

ACS Summer Session registration is now open! Summer Session includes Credit Recovery (grades 9-12), Summer School (grades 6-12), and Credit Advancement (grades 9-12). Both in-district and out-of-district students are welcome to apply. Learn more about ACS Summer Session dates, options, requirements, applications, tuition, and more at acs-k12.org/summersession. The deadline to apply is June 3!

have great reading, math, science, and other learning resources that Alabama parents and

students can use throughout the summer.

Still need to turn in your iPad or Library book? Drop if off in the main office at AMS Monday through Thursday anytime from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.


6th and 7th graders returning to AMS were supposed to turn in their iPad.


Any students 6th-8th who are withdrawing were supposed to turn in their iPad and charger (or $25).

free and reduced lunch application

Athens City Schools offers healthy meals each and every day. Did you know that you can still apply for Free and Reduced Lunch benefits? If approved, these benefits will cover the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year as well the first few weeks of the 2022-2023 school year. The USDA waiver that currently provides free meals to all is set to expire in June. If you think that your family may qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch benefits, and you have not submitted an application this school year, take a moment to visit bit.ly/ACSLunch21-22. Grades & PowerSchool

Final Report Cards will be mailed home soon. Parents are also able to login to PowerSchool to look at their child's grades.


When looking at the Report Cards and in PowerSchool, make note of the following sections:

Q1-1st nine weeks

Q2-2nd nine weeks

Q3-3rd nine weeks

Q4-4th nine weeks

S1-1st semester (1st & 2nd nine weeks average)

S2-2nd semester (3rd & 4th nine weeks average)

F-Final grade for year (1st & 2nd semester average)
