Temple is known for it's top notch education. Temple offers hundreds of degree programs including undergrand and professional graduate programs. Temple's Fox School of business recently jumped seven spots to number 41, an all time high, in U.S. News & World Report's Best Grad Schools Rankings. Within just four short years the Fox School jumped 22 places globally. Neil D. Theobald, Temple President, claims that "Temple is a red-hot institution that provides education of the highest quality and fosters world-class research." Another school that's in affiliation with Temple, The Beasley School of Law's rank recently rose to the 52nd in the nation. All branches of Temple University offer quality education.


Temple University offers seventeen schools or colleges that are specific to certain majors along with several branch campuses. Temple is affiliated witht Tyler School of Art, Fox School of Business and Managment, Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, the College of Education, the College of Engineering, the School of Environmental Design, Beasley School of Law, the College of Liberal Arts, the School of Media and Communication, the School of Medicine, Boyer College of Music and Dance, the School of Pharmacy, the School of Podiatric Medicine, the Collehe of Public Health, the College of Science and Technology, the School of Social Work and the School of Tourism and Hospitality Managment. Temple's main campus is located in the heart of Philidelphia and has over 10,000 students that live on campus. Temple also has a branch campus in Ambler, PA which is known for it's suburban feel and beautiful gardens. The Ambler branch offers a more close-knit community of both students and faculty due to it's smaller size.

Diverse Campus & Student Life

Temple offers hundreds of student organizations, clubs and additional activities. Aside from Temple's 19 NCAA Division I sports (including male and female), there are plenty of ways to get involved with the student community. Another part of campus life at Temple includes Greek Life, since 1906 fraternities and sororities have been an option for students that lead to leadership development, social growth along with academic support. There are plenty of other leadership and involvment opportunities including the Student Leadership Challange, the Diamond Leaders Program, Academic Connections, the Main Campus Program Board and the Temple Student Government. There are also activities and clubs for students that are media savy. There are three media outlets that students can be involved in including The Temple News (the campus newspaper), Templar (the award winning yearbook) and WHIP, the student ran radio station.

I'm not really sure what college I want to go to right now, but I feel like Temple has a fun city environment and also offers a higher education.

What's the history of this school? Are there any notable alumni?

In 1884 Russell Conwell began tutoring students. The charter for "The Temple College" was started in 1888. Notable alumni include Bill Cosby, Bob Saget and Kevin Hart.
