1. The final day of school this Quarter/Semester is Friday, December 17th. Winter Break is December 20-31st. Our first day of school for the second semester will be on January 3rd, 2022.

2. Quarter 2/Semester 1 Report Cards will be available in your child's PowerSchool account on January 7th after 1:00 p.m.

3. We had our Winter Dance on December 10th. Below you will find some pictures from the fun!

4. Our GCJHS Bands will have a Winter Holiday Concert on Tuesday night in our main gym. See the program below for more information.

5. The boys basketball teams with the help of NJHS are sponsoring an Orange Night on 12/15 for the Batton and Thompson families. We will have donation buckets, ribbons for sale as well as a silent auction. I know the holidays can be a busy time for you and your families, but this is a great opportunity to not only support our student athletes but help raise money to help two great families. If you are struggling for some gift ideas we do currently have some pretty great items in our silent auction.

Some of our bigger items are:

• Malik Hooker autograph football
• Kenny Moore autograph football
• Row 14 Pacers tickets when they play the Suns in January
• Robert Mathis limited edition bobble head

We will also have some Cougar shirts and Purdue pullovers. We have some IU ones too, but not sure who would want those. Thank you for your support and hope to see you there.

6. Are you in need of Food Support? Check out the Food Support Resources 2021-2022 document in the download section below to find locations and times for specific food support.

7. Math Tutoring UPDATE: If you have a student that will attend any of our after school sessions on Thursdays please review the following expectations:

• Students need to bring some math to work on
• Phones need to be muted and put away
• Students that are OFF TASK may be asked to leave the session and their parents will be contacted

8. Our Students of the Month from this year had the opportunity to eat lunch outside. See some of the pictures below.

9. Afternoon Car Rider Line - While in line please pull your cars up to the car in front of you. If we can avoid gaps in the line this will help keep the line moving smoothly and safely.
