St. Columba's Primary School
NEWSLETTER | TERM 3 | WEEK 9 | 17 SEPTEMBER 2020
God,
I thank you for the healing rain that washes the curving hills bright green. I thank you for the beams of sunlight that falls softly on us.
I thank you for butterflies and flowers, birds and fish, stars and trees, all of these beautiful things you created for us. I pray that we all see wonder at these, and that the joy of these follows us through our lives now and forever.
Amen.
Message form the Principal
CEWA has asked schools to advise families that there will be no increase in school fees and levies for the 2021 school year.
With the cancellation of our Open Night this term, we are able to share a virtual Art Exhibition in this newsletter and on Facebook. Next week the classes’ virtual tours will be made available.
Many thanks to Mr Chatt for organising the Field Events Day and Athletics Carnival. We had beautiful weather for the Field Events Day and the weather for tomorrow’s Athletics Carnival is looking to be just as good. I know the students are really looking forward to tomorrow and am sure that they will enjoy participating in the many events.
There seems to be a significant increase in numbers who are entering the school by walking down through the Kiss and Drive and entering via the gate near the undercover area. Parents are asked not to enter on foot via the Kiss and Drive and the undercover gate due to the dangers of unrestrained students and moving vehicles. This week I have seen a number of young children walking or running unrestrained near moving vehicles. The gate will be locked as from tomorrow and families will not be able to enter or exit on foot via Kiss and Drive. Your help in this matter will be much appreciated.
God Bless and stay safe.
