Important Information

  • We would like to congratulate Mrs. Margaret Birdwisa on her retirement effective November 30th. Her Richfield Elementary family wants to wish her well in her retirement.
  • We would also like to welcome, Mrs. Amy Ellis as our new secretary at Richfield Elementary. We are excited to have her as part of our Richfield Elementary family.
  • We would also like to thank Mrs. Betsy Riley and Mrs. Tessa Tegel for their help as secretaries during this time.
  • All changes in transportation or parent pick-up need to be called in or emailed to Lori Head by 2pm every day.
  • Students are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather with boots, hats, gloves, snow pants and coats. It is helpful to send an extra set of clothes with your child, to keep at the top of their locker, in case clothes get wet while outside for recess. Please label these clothes.
  • There is a lost and found by the gym doors.

Transportation Changes

  • Last month, Richfield and Bath Elementary families were told of busing changes being made to address safety concerns in those buildings. One change is that each student will only have one designated bus stop location. Revere will no longer have multiple bus stop locations throughout the week for an individual student. The district has decided to implement this change districtwide in grades K-12.
  • Students arriving at Richfield Elementary will no longer have to sit on buses until 8:30 a.m. before entering the school. They will now be able to enter the building upon arrival; therefore, increasing safety. *Please note: Parent drop-off will still take place at 8:30 a.m.
  • At afternoon dismissal, Bath Elementary students will not have to switch buses at Richfield Elementary. The bus each student boards after school will be the one he or she rides home. In addition, as soon as a bus arrives at Richfield Elementary, it will be loaded and leave immediately to take students home. These changes will decrease the amount of time students sit on buses. For many routes, students will be arriving home sooner than they do now.
  • The revised bus routes will be posted on the Revere website Wednesday, November 27th.
  • The new bus schedule will take effect Monday, December 9. Expect possible delays during this week as our bus drivers and staff make the switch to these new schedules.
  • The times listed on the website will be an estimate until the routes have several days to stabilize.
  • If you have questions, please contact Justin Miller, Transportation Supervisor, at jmiller@revereschools.org.

Richfield Elementary Holiday Giving

This holiday season Richfield Elementary will be adopting Forest Hill Elementary in North Akron for children in need. We will have bins outside the office and cafeteria to collect items. They are in need of new or gently used coats, new uniform polo shirts (any solid colored shirt with a collar) and new pants (khaki, blue or black). The student sizes range from small size 6/8 to 10/12 to 16/18. Thank you so much for helping children in our local area. We think this is a humbling opportunity to teach our students about practicing the act of kindness. This holiday giving drive will be from December 9th through December 17th.

USMC Toys for Tots

We are participating in the USMC Toys for Tots program again this year. We will be collecting new and unwrapped toys from December 3rd through December 12th. We appreciate all the help for our local communities.

As a school, we want to be proactive in teaching our students positive behaviors. We will be implementing PBIS, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports. We are using this program to help our students have a safe, positive learning environment and to provide consistency in all areas of our school.

We will be using three consistent school expectations with the goal that We “R” Revere Ready every day!

  • We “R” Responsible
  • We “R” Respectful
  • We “R” Problem Solvers

To reinforce that we are Revere Ready, your child will be receiving positive class dojo points as well as whole class rewards. These positive behavior points will be “cashed in” for quarterly reward parties.
