St. Mary Rockwood Rocket Review

December 3, 2014 | Volume 2, No. 15

Credit/Debit Card Payments now available in school or online!

Great news! We can now accept payments online or at school for the many things you currently write checks for! We will be utilizing Square - a completely safe alternative to writing checks. There is a 2.75% fee that is added to each transaction - it ends up costing about $1 per every $36 spent. It is a convenience fee and an option, but you may also still pay by cash or check. Tuition will still be paid using SmartTuition.

You can pay online from the website by clicking on the "payments" tab. You can pay for lunch, field trips, milk, CYO, Jean day donations, etc. all from the website. Put everything on one charge and you'll receive an emailed receipt. Just forward that receipt to and we will make sure it is applied where it needs to be.

If you pay for lunch online, please add the receipt number (see the red box below) to the lunch form so we know which is your payment.

You can also pay by swiping your card in the main office.

We hope this is just one more convenient way to help you manage your daily life and school at St. Mary Rockwood!

How does AmazonSmile work?
When first visiting AmazonSmile, customers are prompted to select a charitable organization from almost one million eligible organizations. In order to browse or shop at AmazonSmile, customers must first select a charitable organization. For eligible purchases at AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the customer’s selected charitable organization.

Remember: We only benefit when you shop at Everything stays the same, including your Amazon Prime!

There is also a link on the website and in our mobile app!

Parents - our lost and found box is getting pretty full! Please stop and check the tote located outside of the office for any lost sweaters, coats, hats, mittens, etc.

Meetings with Teachers

Please be sure to sign in upon arriving at the school. Parents should be dropping off students either in the breezeway or lunchroom in the morning. Please do not take your child to the classroom. The teachers have a process in the morning and it is essential that they have the ability to start that as soon as possible. If there is a concern, please contact Mrs. Stager.

Also, parents should be waiting in the breezeway at the end of the school day. Please do not go the classroom.

If you would like to speak to a teacher, please call the office and make an appointment. Please do not show up at recess or during a teacher's prep to talk unless you have made an appointment.

For the safety of all of our children, we need to know who is in the building and where they are at all times.

Thank you so much for your cooperation with this. We really appreciate all of you and thank you so much for all you do for us!

- Mrs. Stager
