A MESSAGE FROM MR. COLE
Dear Pine Road Families,
We are very excited about the return of the Pine Road Halloween Parade! We have been closely watching the weather, and the latest forecast has us optimistic that we will be able to hold the parade on our scheduled date (10/29). If the forecast changes, we will communicate via Connect-Ed. As a reminder, our rain date is 11/1.
Please keep in mind that our campus will be closed to motor vehicles for our students’ safety after our regular student arrival is complete. Please carpool (if possible) and plan to park on Pine Road. More information regarding the parade can be found HERE.
It is hard to believe, but November is right around the corner, and we have almost finished our first marking period of the 2021-2022 school year. Please note that the end of the 1st quarter is Friday, November 5th, and grades will be made available on Home Access Center on Friday, November 12th. As a reminder, you can stay up-to-date on your child’s progress by visiting E-School Home Access.
With November coming, we mark the return of more in-person events that we have sorely missed! First, our Pine Road Book Fair is back in person this fall. The book fair will take place between November 4th and November 11th in the Pine Road Library. All students will visit the book fair during their regular library encore class times. There will also be an evening fair on Thursday, November 4th, from 4:00-7:00. The online fair will run 11/1-11/12. More information can be found on the PR Book Fair website. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact pineroad.bookfair@gmail.com.
Lastly, we are excited to host our "Here’s to the Heroes: Veterans Day Breakfast". This fantastic event created just before the pandemic will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM. Our celebration will include breakfast for the student and a veteran guest, as well as a brief student-led program honoring and thanking our veterans for their service. More information, including a registration form, can be found in this letter.
Sincerely,
Scott Cole
Principal
