CELEBRATE PROJECTOR LOVE
Did you know? Regular filter maintenance is important to maintaining your projector. Your Epson projector is designed with an easily accessible, user-replaceable filter to protect your projector and make regular maintenance simple. Filter maintenance intervals will depend on the environment. Happy filtering!
- Step 1: Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord.
- Step 2: Slide the air filter cover latch and open the air filter cover.See video for an example of how to do it.

STAFF ONLY:
Long Advisory 7th/8th: Due to the 7th grade field trip and Career Day, 7th and 8th will have long Advisory Oct 29 and 30. Please plan accordingly.
6th SOM: The next one is Oct 25.
ELPAC Scores: Click here to see EL scores for your current students. Scores are from their testing with us last year. 6th grade-we only have scores for students who came from NP3E at this time. There are many ways to process these scores and what they mean for student needs and instructional choices. One of the lenses is to use them in conjunction with SBAC scores. For reference: SBAC ELA school-wide 63% prof/adv while ELL subgroup scored 23%, and SBAC Math school-wide 54% prof/adv while ELL subgroup scored 22%.
Instructional Rounds: Reminder that instructional rounds are the week of Nov 4th. Please plan accordingly. Departments will review the process prior to. Yeeeow! Arrrgh you ready to learn?!
Counseling Interns and Student Teachers: FYI! There are some new faces on campus. We have wonderful individuals learning to be teachers and counselors on campus. Please welcome them if you see them.
8th Grade Hearing Screening: 8th teachers teaching 3rd period on Nov 4th will be provided with a schedule to take your class to the hearing van. FYI for planning purposes.
Infinite Campus: Infinite Campus has a new view that you can test out. For right now, you can toggle the view off and on, so if you don't like it, you can get back to the "old" view, but know that IC plans to switch this view in the next year, so it might be good to test it out. If you go to your settings in the top right by clicking the person, you will see the "Try New Look". If you switch to on, you will see that your menu on the left now condenses each category.
Halloween & Spirit Week: Pump up the jam for spirit week! It's an awesome way to have fun and build community! Of course there are a few expectations, see below announcements for more specifics and details.
PARENTS & FAMILIES:
- 2020-2021 Open Enrollment: Do you know someone who wants to be a Pirate? Open enrollment for the 20-21 school year is Tue Oct 15- Fri Nov 15 for all K-9 students. Click here to view application information on our website. Applications are available in the front office and on our website. Current students do not need to fill out an application.
- Halloween Expectations: Boo! On Oct 31st students are allowed to wear costumes to school; however we must be able to tell who your student is. Costumes cannot include any weapons or masks. If your student is not in a costume, they must be in dress code. If any part of the costume interrupts student learning, they will be asked to change accordingly.
- Picture Day Make-Ups: Picture make-ups will be held 1st period in the gym Oct 22.
- Outdoor Club: Fun and trail time coming your way! Outdoor Club is going on a hiking trip to Lake Clementine Trail in Auburn Sat Oct 26. If you would like to join see Ms. Marinkovich! Students will depart NP3 MS at 8am.
- Game Night: The Event Planning action team is hosting a Game Night on Nov 8 after school from 3:10-4:35pm room 202. Students will play games such as Monopoly, Jenga, Life and more!
- Student Government Sales: Pizza and drinks will be sold for $1 each after school on Thur Oct 24 to help raise money for on campus events.
- Q2 Spirit Week: Spirit week is coming! Spirit week is coming! Q2 spirit week starts Oct 28! Mon is PJ day; Tue is Trendy day (ex: VSCO, Soft, etc.); Wed is Twin/Squad day; Thurs is Costume day; Fri is Meme/Tik Tok Day. If students are not participating in spirit day, they must be in dress code.
- Yearbooks: 2019-20 yearbooks are on sale now for $25! Order yours online here and search Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep Middle School. There are a limited number of yearbooks available do order yours now!
- Cookie Dough Fundraiser: 6th grade and 8th grade students attending Science Camp or DC/NYC trips will be selling cookie dough for $10 a tub. Info will be sent home with those students next week. See Rollins or Clark for details.
- Run for Rhett Fall Fitness Program: Run for Rhett fall training begins Tue Oct 22 3pm on the track. This is a 6 week training program that leads up to the annual "Run Because You Can"-5k. Mandatory training sessions are on Tue 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19 and 12/3 from 3-4 pm. There are optional workouts Fri after after school on 11/1, 11/8, 11/15 and 11/22 from 3-4 pm. Sign ups are with Ms. Clark and additional information/forms can be found on the "Pirates Run" tab on the school website.
