Message from the Principal
Dear Wilson Families,
I hope that you and your family are healthy, safe, and doing well. Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we move forward with our efforts for Distance Learning. Preparing for school closure in such a short amount of time has been, and will continue to be a total team effort from every family, teacher, and staff member at Wilson.
Here are some following resources to help you get started:
This site was developed to share information on Distance Learning and provide resources to help with online information for students and families. This is also located on our district home page under "Distance Learning".
A quick link for G-Suite login.
Attendance: Please notify the office if your child is ill or unable to do Distance Learning on a specific day(s).
Every teacher will be communicating with students and families. Each teacher will individually share what time they will be available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 3:00. p.m. They will be able to answer any questions and discuss how to share completed work with them. We will provide a paper version of the curriculum for families who need it.
Parents can communicate with the office by email or phone. Please call 507-444-8400 or 507-444-8401 or email us at gjones@isd761.org or mhoffner@isd761.org and we will get back to you.
Our social worker and special education teachers will be available via email as well.
There is free breakfast and lunch for students available at Wilson. Information is available on the flyer.
If you are in need of childcare please call 507-444-7900 or click on this link.
See District Webpage for more information.
Your child’s teacher has already or will be sending you their plan for the continuity of learning for your child. Please know that we are doing everything we can to provide appropriate instruction so that when regular school resumes, your child will be ready.
Will will continue to communicate when there are updates about COVID-19, updates about student learning, and/or updates regarding our school closure. Please know that communication is our greatest tool. Please reach out if you have questions or need support. I’m so proud of our Wilson staff and families as we move forward during these historic and unprecedented times.
Best regards,
Melodee Hoffner, Principal

Message from our Social Worker
Wilson families,
I hope this finds you all healthy and doing well. I miss working with our Wilson Wildcats, they are amazing kids!
Just a few pieces of information I wanted to pass onto you. These are uncertain times for all of us. When children no longer have routines, new behaviors may occur. Some times we may know the trigger and other times it may seem “out of the blue”. Often times these behaviors are from feelings of worry, anxiety, uncertainty, fear or sadness. If you notice your students are struggling with the change to distance learning please reach out to me. I would be more than happy to talk with them.
If your family has any needs or concerns as we move forward please contact me. I strongly believe we will get through this together!
My email is afield@isd761.org or my google voice number is 507-405-4151.
Take care!
