As with all painful events in life, out of deep pain and loss can come peace and comfort, out of ashes can come beauty.

In the middle of a divisive political season and isolation due to COVID, the heroism and compassion shown on and after 9/11 are powerful reminders that we have more that unites us, than divides us: family, faith, friends, integrity, sacrifice, and kindness, to name a few.

"I think it's important for us to realize that, as terrible as that day was, it brought America together and it reminded us that we're all one people." ~ Barack Obama~Scholastic News
