Positivity Project:
We are ready to kick-off Positivity Project on Monday, September 9! All grade levels will view the same slides and videos this school year. The slides and videos will have the best of all the content. We will begin with kindness rather than the introduction week. This will tie in with our “Be the I in Kind” poster and “Spread Kindness like Confetti” behavior recognition. You will receive more information once we get the signs up.
Remember to view the slides each day with your class. Each lesson should only take between 5 – 7 minutes to view and discuss. Choose the same time each day, such as after announcements, after recess, etc.
Directions for viewing Positivity Project ·- This link will open a google doc with links to each week of lessons. (You may need to hold the Ctrl button when clicking on this link). Character Trait Links
- Currently, kindness is the only lesson ready, but we will be updating the google doc before each new lesson begins.
- Please save the link above to your favorites for easy access each day. Video instruction this link: How to save links to SSO or bookmark
The DLPDM Committee has openings for one elementary teacher representative and one secondary teacher representative for the College Park Feeder.
The DLPDMC meetings are typically held the third Wednesday of each month at 4:30 PM in the Board Room at the Administration Building. You may review Board Policy BQA Legal and Local for information about the duties and responsibilities of the members (or feel free to call me).
TW College Park Feeder Item:
1. All Elementary & Secondary Campuses -> Elect one teacher nominee. All campuses must conduct an election between September 5-12 to determine their teacher nominee to serve up to two two-year terms on the committee. The names of all of the nominees for the specified level (elementary or secondary) will be combined for a drawing to select the representative for that vacancy in that feeder. Please be sure that your nominee understands the selection drawing process.
The first DLPDMC meeting for 2019-20 will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.
If you are interested in serving on this committee, please let Lisa know be Tuesday afternoon. It's an excellent opportunity!
