Rifle Grenade
Weapon use in World War I.
What does it do?
A rifle grenade is a launcher to permit a longer effective range than would be possible has high explosion fragmentation and anti-tank warheads as well as concussion, smoke, incendiary and flare missiles.
How does it work?
It opens a small vent in the gas cylinder end plug, providing a pressure release which prevents the bolt from cycling. This maximizes the gas propellant out the muzzle enabling a grenade to be launched.
Was it successfully used?
There were some pros and cons of this weapon, but the overall experience of this Rifle grenade was in use as success. Most of the time , things were to much to handle for this one specific weapon. http://everything.explained.today/Rifle_grenade/
