Jim Crow Laws
The Jim Crow Laws enforced racial segregation laws in the southern US. These laws stayed intact till 1965. They started to take place after reconstruction. They also followed the black codes. People said they were "seperate but equal".
How they seperated blacks and whites.
They created seperate restrooms, water fountains, and schools etc.for blacks and whites.
They were lower quality than white appliances. They name came from a song\dance routine and was meant derogatory synonym for african americans.
