Student Of The Week

Our Student of the week is Isabel B. Isabel is a very wonderful student who always works hard to complete her work. She is a leader in our classroom community and the school community. Isabel is funny and kind and loves to play with her peers at recess and tell stories at lunch.

We are very thankful for Isabel in room 313!!

What We're Learning This Week

Reading: We are focusing on Informational Texts and biographies this week. The biographies will tie into our new writing unit on Biographic Sketches.

Math: Students are wrapping up our study of factors and multiples. We will have an assessment on Friday.

Writing: We are starting a new narrative study. This week we are kicking off our study of biographic sketches- learning about real people. We will read some examples such as Sixteen Years in Sixteen Seconds: The Story of Sammy Lee

Social Studies: We are continuing our unit on North Carolina Government. Students are very interested and I encourage them to research at home NC Policies that they may be interested in asking about when we are at The Capitol in April!

Classroom Needs

We are in need of:

  • Cleaning wipes
  • healthy, pre bagged snacks for studnets
  • White 1 inch binders
