Prinsloo's Pad
It's been a long time!!!
Well finally I do not have a meeting or a conference or a short week or a snow day........
I am excited about the promise of the New Year. It has started off with great opportunities. My 3rd grandchild Oliver was born last week, it has been a long baby watch. But all are doing well. We have had Diamond Del ( I think that the kids told you how awesome that was...) and are deep in our studies of the American Revolution (our favorite unit).
News from class!
Over the break so many parents and grandparents came in to read. I am honoring those readers with some of the pictures. I will get to the others over the next couple of weeks, a great thank you to all who volunteered, the kids loved having you. We also loved some of the unique books.
Social Studies
We are working on the Rev. War, we will complete the battles this week, please study daily, tentative test date is 2/9
Science
I enjoyed reading your comments about Landforms, thanks for your help.
We are now working on earth science and this week about soils we will test after each section, but will do one cumulative test at the end-but it is a long unit. We are still doing investigations and do not yet have study material that will be coming home tomorrow.
Field trip information March 3
In past years we have purchased lunches for students, but last year they made us wait for literally hours because they could not find our order. So we are suggesting delicious packed lunches from home. We will be providing a snack I will get with parents to volunteer for this.
Scholarships
I know that times are tight, but I would really like to appeal to parents for some scholarships for this field trip. We do have some parents who are going through very tight times.
DAB Dab dab!!!!
We had so much fun!
