Last week to contribute to the Soup and Socks Fundraiser!

Hey MHS students!

Our chapter of the National Honor Society is organizing a Sock and Soup drive to benefit local shelters and food pantries such as the Our Daily Bread Food Pantry in Mansfield and the Community Care Alliance in Woonsocket. If every student brought in one of the two items, we would have an abundance of cans of soup, and a multitude of socks! Please donate any cans of soup or new socks if you are able.

There will be donation bins in the school lobby and throughout town starting on Monday. The drive will be ending March 8th so please get in any donations before that. Thank you!

Mock Trial- new members always welcome

Since 1985, the Massachusetts Bar Association has hosted an annual, statewide Mock Trial Program to help high school students learn more about the law, court procedures and our legal system, and give them an opportunity to sharpen their analytical, listening and speaking skills. This year the competition will be virtual and sponsored by the Massachusetts High School Mock Trial Association. Students prepare a hypothetical case and then test their skills as lawyers and witnesses in a simulated courtroom competition.

If you are interested in joining or learning more, please email Captains Bella Deberghes or Jess Zenack at or

Football team adds an "Equity" decal to helmets for 2021 season

In appreciation of the Mansfield Public Schools commitment to values beyond winning, Superintendent Teresa Murphy and Assistant Superintendent Michael Connolly recently announced the addition of a decal with the word "Equity" on it to be placed on the helmets of the varsity football team this year.

Michael Redding, coach and AD said, “As an organization, we are focused on supporting members of our community who do not have equal access and opportunity. These decals are one way for us to show that support and promote equality as one of the core values of our school community.
