Supporting Hurricane Harvey Victims
Their goal was to get enough money to buy 10 backpacks. So they made some brownies, a sign, and got some change. Friends Vivian Henry (purple wing), Anna Ralston (blue wing), Livi Ralston (Symmes), and Maria Shomo (Jr High) set up shop. The girls collected $62 in donations and sales, and were able to buy 10 backpacks at Kroger for $6 each.
The Aviation Station visited the Greene School this week! Students were able to tour the bus and then complete a design challenge. We are excited for the opportunities this bus will bring to our students!
Supporting Hurricane Harvey Victims
Our 11th Annual Walk-A-Thon will be happening during the school day on Thursday, September 28th. Students are asked to collect pledges from family members and friends the next 2 weeks leading up to the Walk-A-Thon, with the chance to earn prizes, including gift cards, gift baskets, and lunch with Mr. Tudor! Pledge envelopes went home with students yesterday, and the first day for money turn-in is QUICK - this Friday, 9/22. Be sure to turn in early to be eligible for both raffle drawing days and to be eligible for silly stringing the principal (only for those donating by 9/22) ! Start getting pledges today online here -> http://tinyurl.com/EHGreeneWalkathon or checks payable to EH Greene PTO.
If you would be interested in volunteering to help with the Walk-a-Thon, please sign up at Walkathon Volunteers or email Carrie Dippold at firstname.lastname@example.org. Parents are welcome to join our staff and students as they walk.

If you ordered a t-shirt online, please be sure to send in your payment, marked with your child’s name. We have had to order more Team T-shirts in some sizes. If you paid for a shirt and have not received it yet, please be patient. Our order should be coming in soon. Your child received an email today to let them know if his/her shirt is on order.
Haven’t joined the PTO yet? Becoming a member of the PTO is a simple way to show your support for the many important programs organized and funded by the PTO at Greene. There is no obligation to volunteer or attend meetings, although we will always welcome your input and support! Your PTO membership will also give you access to the online student directory through DirectorySpot.

PBIS for Parents - Restroom Expectations
We hope you enjoy this week’s video of staff and students demonstrating behavior in the restrooms and at the drinking fountain. This is a time when students must be responsible, respectful and watch out for each other. Remind your child that if there’s a problem in the restroom, telling an adult immediately is the right thing to do! As you can see, our staff had a lot of fun demonstrating the “non-Aviator” behavior. Thanks for your support at home reinforcing Aviator Expectations.

Blue Ash Elementary PTO’s Haunted Festival
Haunted Festival is the Blue Ash Elementary PTO’s largest annual family fun night. Many volunteers will be needed to set up, run games, activities, and tables during Haunted Fest! We would love your help by working one shift such as running a game or selling food. We need 300 volunteers to make this festival run smoothly! Adults and children in 5th grade or higher are welcome as volunteers. This is a wonderful opprutunity for grandparents, aunts, uncles, and high school students. Choose the shift and assignment you want and you may select to work with a friend. We can’t wait to see you! If you have questions please contact Debbie Flinchpaugh-Kirby at firstname.lastname@example.org
