Coming Up.....
Literacy: We are continuing to put ourselves in the writer's shoes by creating short stories based on the illustrations from The Mysteries of Harris Burdick, by Chris Van Allsburg.
Math: Our skills as mathematicians continue to grow. We are working on adding and subtracting fractions. As always, time on Prodigy is beneficial, and talking to our parents about what we're learning helps us clarify concepts.
Don't forget that EQAO is happening for the grade 6's from May 24th to June 3rd. Please try to schedule appointments so that your child doesn't miss school during these 2 weeks.
Please review the class calendar for more details. http://assignaday.4teachers.org/ScheduleTable.php?calendar_id=280741&button=1
April Happenings
Here's a quick look at what we accomplished last month.
Swim to Survive Plus was a huge hit for the students that participated. They learned water entry techniques, how difficult it is to swim fully clothed, and how to save a friend who falls into water by accident.
The musical performance of Bugsy Malone, at AN Myer, was very entertaining. Huge applause goes out in recognition of the courage it took for those high school students to sing and dance in front of all of us!
Our Reverse Poems are published. Remember to read them from top to bottom, and then FROM BOTTOM TO TOP for full effect. Happy reading! https://www.smore.com/zga7z/edit
