ACES Family Update

December-A Magical Time!
Good Evening ACES Families,
When we were traveling the world with the Navy we had some family traditions that we carried with us and we always enjoyed adding experiences and traditions from the local area, as well. Here in Alaska fireworks are stunning in the darkness with a hot drink and you can visit reindeer and Santa's Workshop to help get into the spirit of the season.
December can be dark and cold but it looks like we will have a pretty warm next couple of weeks headed into the break. Also, we will celebrate the Winter Solstice on December 21, and start gaining daylight! With the warmth and the darkness it is the perfect setting for many activities and festivities. From fireworks to community service projects and holiday celebrations there is a lot to do and we encourage our families to take part and enjoy this time of year.
We hope that you find joy in creating new memories and we are honored to be a part of your lives here in Alaska.
Happy Sunday and enjoy the warm winter weather!

Pick-up Pro Tips!
*Pull far forward. Stopping in front of the doors in the loop drive causes traffic to back up.
*Kiss and Drop - students should be ready to exit the car quickly.
*Students drop off at the curb side only in the am, do not walk across the traffic lane.
*Student pick up in the loop drive at the end of the day uses both lanes and a crossing guard.
*Students walking use the sidewalk out of the building and cross with the crossing guard only.
*K-1 Students being picked up by parents in the office parking lot may be met at the flagpole and walked to the car by parents. Students may not cross the pickup line without an adult.
*Picking up your walker please call the office and let us know. That way we can have your child go to the correct place to meet you.
*Those using the car lines - keep up the great work! :)
