Ledy’s Experience, and Contributions to Resolving the Issues of Police Officers Shooting Dogs:
Ledy is a contributing author of the most influential article addressing our cause. The DOJ Article is titled, ‘The Problem of Dog-Related Incidents and Encounters’, and is published on the COPS DOJ website.
Currently, Ledy VanKavage is urging officials in the state of Illinois to implement canine training for law enforcement officers along with a proposed training program. Ledy also has extensive experience, and currently teaches police training programs at universities.
