BE FANTASTIC
It is hard to believe that another school year has passed. Our students amazed us all year with their ability to BE FANTASTIC around the school. Classes caught with FANTASTIC behavior have earned tickets throughout each school day. Ten tickets are then exchanged for a cricket to be displayed in the hallway.
During the fourth nine weeks, each class that earned 10 crickets celebrated with a popsicle party. Homeroom classes with the most crickets for each grade level also earned a special surprise.
The following classrooms earned the most crickets for the fourth nine weeks: Mrs. Callaham’s K5 class, Mrs. Howard’s and Mrs. Anderson’s first grade classes, and Mrs. Kellett’s second grade class. Congratulations to all of our students. Continue to showcase these BE FANTASTIC essentials throughout the summer!

A NOTE FROM OUR READING COACH
I hope everyone has a safe and fun summer! Please continue to read and enjoy books this summer. On average, students can lose up to two months of reading skills over the summer. Studies show that even reading 4 -5 books over the summer has a positive impact on students. Take trips to the public library, read at the park or at the beach, and read at the beginning of each day before other activities get in the way.
The Powdersville Branch of the public library has many fun reading activities planned for the summer for children of all ages. Be sure to check some of them out!
Happy Reading! See you in August.
