Hello Stallions!
Thank you so much to everyone who showed their appreciation for the wonderful people working at the Ranch last week. Our doors were decorated in the most fantastic ways. Our PTSO brought food and treats all week. Central Christian Church brought a surprise for all the staff. Families brought in snacks and gifts all week long. Many of you filled out Notes of Appreciation as well. It was a great week to work at the Ranch.
The week's highlights included the completion of the State Testing/AzMERIT testing window. Our students did a wonderful job persevering and doing their best! Friday was our last Stampede and it was as loud as ever. The day ended with fantastic speeches for Student Council elections. Congratulations go to our newly elected Student Council Executive Board: Secretary Michael Newton, Treasurer John Miller, Vice President Samuel Reijonen, President Cannon Schwarz.
If you are dropping your students off on Maple Drive, please don't drop them off in between the school crossing zone signs. That area is terribly congested, and it creates difficulty for all drivers. Please make sure you are outside of the school zone before pulling over to let your students out. The same holds true for pick up at the end of the day. Please don't stop to do so in the school zone. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
This week we have our final Band and Strings performances of the year on Tuesday. The Gilbert Golden Scholars Academic Night is Wednesday evening., Friday is a BIG day at the Ranch! It is a surprise day for all students that Student Council has been planning for months. All students will participate. The morning is filled with outside activities with students being outside for about an hour and a half. After normal lunch and recess times, the afternoon fun will begin. The whole school will be outside together for a special performance. It will be "shorts day at the Ranch" for staff, and students should dress for being outside as well. Sunscreen and hats, of course, are permitted. Student Council is beyond excited for this special day. It should be awesome for everyone!
