I hope this message finds you well. Reminder that there will be no school from Wednesday, November 23 to Friday, November 25. Classes will resume on Monday, November 28. We hope you find time to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family.
Our Veterans Day performance was a huge success. Thank you to the families and veterans that were in attendance and another big thank you to our veterans and service members that are currently serving. Mrs. Hall did an amazing job working with our students to honor our veterans and bring to life the book, America's White Table. I have included a video of the performance below.
As we begin to see snow, a reminder that in order for students to play on the snow, they will need to have both their snow boots and snow pants. If they do not have both, they will not be allowed to play on the snow. Also, students go outside unless the feels like temperature is 10 degrees. Please make sure to send your student with the appropriate attire. If you need assistance in acquiring items, please reach out to myself or Mrs. Harper and we can try to assist.
This year, a focus for the Western Trails staff is to provide consistent, positive feedback to parents regarding their student. To help our process, I am asking that you take a few minutes to complete the linked survey to provide insight on how the process is going this year. We are excited to have our first trimester PBIS celebration Tuesday, November 22. We are excited to welcome Matt Wilhelm to Western Trails to show off some amazing bike tricks and speak to the students about positive behavior that aligns with the Wildcat Way. We will also celebrate students that earned paws this trimester. Look for a special newsletter next week with winner information.
Join us directly after school on December 8th for a lap around the field for our PTA sponsored Hot Cocoa run. The Western Trails PTA will provide hot cocoa and glow sticks for FREE (while quantities last). All students must be accompanied by an adult. Weather permitting.
With support and coordination of the PTA, we are also hosting the Penguin Patch. This is a fun opportunity for students to show responsibility and be able to purchase and wrap gifts. More information will be coming home tomorrow with the shop opening the week of December 5.

Estamos emocionados de tener nuestra celebración PBIS del primer trimestre el martes 22 de noviembre. Estamos emocionados de dar la bienvenida a Matt Wilhelm a Western Trails para mostrar algunos trucos de bicicleta increíbles y hablar con los estudiantes sobre el comportamiento positivo que se alinea con Wildcat Way. También celebraremos a los estudiantes que ganaron patas este trimestre. Busque un boletín especial la próxima semana con información sobre los ganadores.
Únase a nosotros directamente después de la escuela el 8 de diciembre para dar una vuelta alrededor del campo para nuestra carrera Hot Cocoa patrocinada por la PTA.
