"Our Students In Their Own Words!"

Pence Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic American Heritage Month was established in 1989 as an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the diverse Hispanic cultures existing within our communities. It is observed each year from September 15th to October 15th when many Latin American countries celebrate their independence. At Pence, we have students who have a rich family heritage from the countries of Mexico, Uruguay, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and El Salvador making up about 19% of our population. We are happy to celebrate these students who make up such an important part of our Pence Family!
