Picture Day for Distance Learners: December 9th
All "distance learning" students are welcome to join us on Wednesday, December 9 for remote photo day at Calusa Elementary School. The set up will be a drive-through type set up where the students will exit the vehicle for a quick photo and then returned to the vehicle within minutes.
You must register your student no later than 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 8 at www.focusedonforever.com/remote
Note: Required Covid-19 precautions are followed by the Focused on Forever Staff to ensure the safest environment for our students and employees. Parents/Guardians remain in the vehicle at all times. Students coming onto campus must wear a mask and adhere to 6' social distancing.
Please know this is optional and you do not have to have your child participate in this photo opportunity. We will work together in the Spring 2021 to ensure your child's photo is in our yearbook.
Please arrive to campus using the main entrance and within the time frame listed below (use your child's last name as a guide for the timing).

Attention Parents of Distance Learners in Grades 3-5,
In January, students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade will take a winter diagnostic. This will provide crucial information which will be used in determining student progress and areas where more support may be needed.
We are offering the option for distance learners to come to campus to take these assessments in the format and setting most similar to FSA. Students will be provided with a testing booklet, answer sheet, pencils and mints all safely contained in individual ziploc bags. We will be maintaining our safety protocols while administering these tests, including masks and 6 ft distancing. Please note that if you opt to send your child to school for these assessments they will not be with their homeroom class, but will test in another location.
Each test lasts approximately 120 minutes and is given over a 2 day period. Students with accommodations will receive those as dictated by their 504 or IEP and may require longer testing times. Students will be picked up following the conclusion of testing each day and will rejoin their classes virtually. Virtual attendance will not be impacted by taking these tests on campus.
The following are the dates, grade levels and subjects which administration will be given:
1/14-1/15 3-5th Grade ELA
1/21-1/22 3-5th Grade Math
1/28-1/29 5th Grade Science
For scheduling purposes we ask that parents/guardians of our Distance Learners complete this form no later than TOMORROW- December 4th.
Kind Regards,
Mrs. Kara Schwarz
