Fifth and Sixth Grade Geography

Fifth and Sixth grade students identified continents, oceans, and cardinal directions and pasted them in their relative positions on balloons to make their own globes. The kids are so proud of their projects.

Chess Club Volunteers

We are very interested in starting a Chess Club for our older students. If any of you would like to help run this club, we would welcome you. There are various competitions at the high schools and would like to compete.

Morning Drop Off And After School Pick Up

Please remember when you are dropping off your child/ren in the morning, pull all the way through before letting them out of the car. Not only can we not let the traffic back up on 155th Street, but, it is really a safety precaution.

When picking your child up, we ask that you park in our parking lot. Please do not park in the Pastoral Center lot or on the streets. If you must pick your child up because you are in a hurry, please do that at 3 p.m. We really do need to be aware of the safety of our children and need to be considerate of our neighbors.

Thank you so much!

Damian Mania Time!

This is your one MANDATORY fundraiser

What is Damian Mania?

In a majority of Catholic Schools across the country, tuition is the primary source of revenue. Tuition does not always cover the cost of educating the whole child. St. Damian School implemented Damian Mania as a way to "bridge the gap." The benefit of Damian Mania is that it also has the opportunity to benefit you in more ways than just helping to provide a quality education for your child.

What Can I Win?

Beginning next Friday and running through October 14, 2021, we will draw two weekly winners and they will be awarded $50 cash. These winners' names will go back in the hat, so they have the opportunity to win twice!

The large drawing will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021. More information to follow on this event! The grand prize is $4,000.

Are there other incentives?

If you sell more than 45 tickets, we will credit $100 towards your tuition. Sell 75 tickets and receive a $250 credit. For every ticket you sell over your 25 tickets, you will be deducted $5 on your FACTS ticket account on November 5, 2021.

What if I choose not to participate?

If you do not turn in your money by October 22, 2021 you will be charged $350 towards your tuition.

Operating Framework For the 2021-22 School Year

Please review the following guidance from the Archdiocese of Chicago regarding our operating procedures for the year. Please also note that this is always subject to change.

Vaccinations

Please also note, that while we are not requiring vaccinations, when we do transition out of masks for vaccinated individuals, we will need to have the vaccination card on file. If your child is vaccinated, please bring a copy of the card to the office, so that we may place it in his/her confidential file. Also, when we transition, vaccinated individuals do not need to quarantine if they are a close exposure.
