SHAVE YOUR HAIR TO SHOW YOU CARE
The St.Baldrick's Foundation
Help Cure Childhood Cancer during the Holidays
Did you know that worldwide 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. In the U.S., more children die by childhood cancer than any other cause. That’s why St. Baldrick’s Foundation was started. They created a fundraiser where people shave their heads to give back to the children who have childhood cancer. While you are outside playing games and having fun in the sun, these kids are often sitting in the hospital all day. St. Baldrick's wants to make a change in these children's lives by raising money to find a cure; and with your help, more kids could be home for the holidays.
To date, $33,924,517 has been raised from people shaving their heads. If you would like to help the effort, you can shave your head too. There are shaving events taking place in and around Atlanta. I imagine many of you are thinking,” I don’t want to shave my head! Well guess what, you don’t have to. You can participate in a different event, or even just flat out donate.
